How it works on your site
The Brokk 900 is an 11,400 kg tracked demolition robot, diesel or mains-electric, that the operator drives by remote control. It breaks concrete and rock with a hydraulic breaker or a concrete crusher in structural demolition, strips structures inside buildings with grapples for soft-strip and selective salvage, and sorts debris with grapples or a clamshell bucket. Brokk announced the 900 in March 2021 as the successor to the Brokk 800 and bills it as the world's largest and most powerful demolition robot; Brokk still lists it at the top of its range, alongside a Rotoboom version.
Material Sorting & Segregation
A clamshell bucket, multi-purpose grapple or sorting and demolition grapple lets the operator load, sort and separate demolition debris by material from the remote.
Soft-Strip / Selective Salvage
Brokk fits the 900 with a sorting and demolition grapple, which it markets for soft demolition and stripping structures inside buildings, while the operator works the SmartRemote from a distance.
Structural Demolition
The operator drives the 900 to the work face and runs a hydraulic breaker or a concrete crusher from the SmartRemote, by radio or cable, away from the breaking. Brokk pairs the 900 with the BHB 1500, which it markets as giving more hitting power than any other demolition robot, and offers the lighter BHB 1300 for heavy concrete at a higher blow frequency. Brokk lists concrete crushers among the 900's attachments and markets them for demolition with less noise, dust and vibration.
