How it works on your site

Squirrel is a 4.1 kg, six-wheel climbing robot from Acuity Robotics that holds to vertical metal structures magnetically while one remote pilot drives it through FPV goggles. It inspects smooth monopoles, telescopic poles, wind turbine towers, ducting and pipes with a 1080p HD camera and a thermal camera on a turret, and takes an EMAT payload for metal wall-thickness and weld checks. Squirrel is pre-commercial, and offshore monopile inspection has development funding but no demonstration yet.
