How it works on your site
The BuilderX Teleoperation System is a retrofit kit that converts an OEM excavator, electric rope shovel, loader, bulldozer or drill rig into a machine run from a remote tele-console, with live video, audio and vibration feedback. BuilderX builds no machine of its own: the kit installs on XCMG, Komatsu, Volvo, Taiyuan Heavy Industry and other hosts, and a trained operator digs, loads, dozes and cleans ship holds from a console while the machine stays on site. The system has shipped since 2020 across 27 confirmed deployments and 13 customers, most of them Chinese mines and bulk terminals; Sumitomo Corporation has been the exclusive Japanese distributor since May 2024, and a Hong Kong CITF pre-approved listing has carried it for subsidy since April 2026.
