How it works on your site
LAYERED, an ETH Zurich spin-off in Lupfig, Switzerland, builds a mobile robot that sprays plaster or a protective coating straight onto walls on site, from a spray head on a collaborative arm that plans and executes its spray path while it moves. The robot scans the wall and applies the layer; a worker picks the surfaces to treat on an iPhone XR interface and supervises the run, with no plastering expertise needed to operate it.
Skim Coating (Level 5 Only)
The robot scans the wall, and a worker selects the surfaces to treat on a simple interface. It then sprays a thin, even layer of plaster or coating over the whole selected area, moving along the wall as it works.
