How it works on your site

The Pronto AHS is a retrofit kit from Pronto AI that adds drive-by-wire control of steering, throttle and braking to existing off-road haul trucks in quarries and mines. It covers horizontal transport: an operator drives each haul route once, the software learns it, and trucks are then dispatched to saved routes from a smartphone app to move material from source to destination. The system is shipping with 2 confirmed deployments since 2020; Komatsu North America sells it through its dealer network as Komatsu Smart Quarry Autonomous, and a 100+ truck Heidelberg Materials rollout is contracted but not yet executed.

Horizontal Transport

An operator drives each haul route once; the software learns the path, and the retrofitted truck then runs it on its own, dispatched to a saved route from a smartphone app. The kit takes over steering, throttle and braking on the host truck, so Cat 775G and Komatsu HD605 trucks run in the same autonomous fleet. The crew still teaches every new or changed route, and manned equipment working alongside the autonomous trucks carries all-stop buttons.
