The DF040 is DaFang AI's compact wheeled ceiling finishing robot which, by the vendor's account, maps the room with lidar and IMU SLAM and finishes indoor ceilings up to 4 m without scaffolding. DaFang lists four processes on the one chassis (grinding, skimming, sanding and painting), run one at a time with a change of working module between them, for residential houses, apartments and prefabricated structures. No launch date or shipping status is published, the DF040's product pages went up in July 2026, and no confirmed deployment or named customer exists.
