How it works on your site

The KOBOT 912 is a mains-powered robotic cutting station, assembled on site from transport boxes, that saws plasterboard, Fermacell and other interior boards up to 25 mm thick on a 900 × 1200 mm bed. It automates the cutting step for board hanging crews: the operator loads each board and types the measurements into the KOBOTS app, the robot makes the cut, and installing, taping and finishing stay with the crew. The 912 is shipping and is the smallest of four KOBOT models; KOBOTS was re-formed in 2023 as an employee buyout of the bankrupt original company.

Board Hanging

The operator places each board on the cutting bed and types its measurements into the KOBOTS app, which also plans the cuts to reduce offcut waste; the robot then saws the board while the operator carries finished pieces to the installers. The installers still hang, fix and finish every board.
