How it works on your site

Surface Assist is a Schneider Electric Lexium RL cobot arm, fitted with Builder Assist's 3D perception box and controller, that mounts on the basket of a standard Haulotte aerial work platform and works building surfaces at up to 20 m; it has no mobility of its own. An automatic tool change switches the arm between six vendor-named configurations (Drill, Clean, Paint, Inspect, Sand and Render Assist); the company leads with precision drilling, and its roadmap dates painting to 2027 and render to 2030. The product is pre-commercial: it was first shown publicly in May 2026, ran its first dry runs on workshop pieces in August 2026, and has no production or arm's-length customer deployment on record.
