How it works on your site

Tubender's Mark 1 is a portable CNC conduit bending machine for commercial electrical contractors, sized to ride in a pickup truck and work in the prefab shop or on the job site. The operator enters bends in the trade's own terms, such as offsets and saddles, and the software runs each bend in sequence on the conduit without hand measuring, marking and repositioning. Routing, supports, couplings and wire pulling stay with the electrical crew.

Conduit & Cable Tray Routing

Mark 1 takes the bending step of a conduit run. The operator enters offsets, saddles and stubs in the bending software, loads a length of conduit, and the machine makes each bend in sequence without hand repositioning. Electricians still route, support and couple the runs and pull the wire.

Will it work on your site

Speed
vendor: up to 16x faster than manual bending; one operator, no measure, mark and reposition between bends
Autonomy
One operator loads the conduit and starts the job; the CNC software then makes every programmed bend in sequence
Safety design
Tubender states multiple systems for safe operation; individual safety functions are not published
Control interface
CNC bending software that takes bends in the terms electricians already use: offsets, stub-90s and saddles
Environment
Prefab shop and job site: built to bend conduit before the project starts and in the field during installation
Weight
500 lbs and 5 feet long; fits in a standard pickup truck and moves around the job site without a forklift
Show all 9
Training
No bending specialist needed; crews program bends in the trade's own vocabulary
Generation
Mark 1 follows the original programmable bench prototype, built as a Northeastern University senior capstone project in fall 2022
Other capabilities
Handles standard 10-foot conduit lengths and makes multiple bends on one continuous length
