How it works on your site

The Crewline kit is a retrofit that bolts onto a contractor's own single-drum vibratory soil compactor and drives it through the machine's existing controls, with no wire cutting and no permanent modification. It compacts soil and fill lifts inside a geo-fenced zone while the dozer operator places the lifts, and Crewline's own remote operators take over the work the machine cannot handle. Setting the compaction zone depends on the dozer: a GPS and joystick unit mounted in the dozer cab reuses the dozer operator's existing path as the reference, so the roller works a pad only after a dozer has crossed it, and the marketed workflow of a foreman drawing the zone on an iPad in under a minute was too inaccurate. Crewline lists the product as pre-commercial, with three deployments on record across three organizations and a fleet of roughly six hand-built kits as of April 2026.

A drum roller fitted with the Crewline Autonomy Kit compacted dirt without a driver for 30 days on a 30-acre airport extension in Austin, Texas, for Dynamic Site Solutions; daily downtime fell from six hours to under one hour.
