Teleo Supervised Autonomy
Teleo (now HavocAI subsidiary) · Earthmoving · Shipping since 2023
Last updated: 2026-03
Summary
Teleo Supervised Autonomy is a retrofit kit that converts existing heavy equipment (wheel loaders, ADTs, bulldozers, excavators, compact track loaders) into remotely operated and supervised-autonomous machines. It covers excavation, hauling, grading, backfilling, and aggregate placement across six documented earthmoving subtasks; a single operator switches between multiple Teleo-equipped machines from a remote command center. The system has been shipping since 2023, with 12 confirmed deployments across the US, Canada, Finland, and Australia; HavocAI acquired Teleo in March 2026.
How it works on your site
Site clearing and mass excavation (Cut)
The retrofit kit enables operators to run excavators and loaders from a command center while the machines work on site. HDR cameras provide 360-degree visibility day and night, and the operator switches between machines with a button press. Complex tasks (loading, precision grading) stay under direct teleop control while repetitive hauling runs autonomously.
Soil hauling
ADTs run autonomously on defined haul routes and wait for operator intervention when they encounter a situation outside their operating envelope. The operator manages multiple trucks simultaneously from the command center, taking direct control only for complex loading or dump positioning.
Aggregate base placement
Remote operation removes the operator from the physical hazards of repetitive aggregate placement work. The machine runs from the command center under direct teleop for placement tasks.
