How it works on your site

The ACR Robot 557 MPA is a tracked, radio-controlled hydrodemolition robot from Conjet AB that removes concrete with high-pressure water jets fed by a separate high-pressure pump. Its multi-purpose arm cuts horizontal, vertical, overhead and below-track surfaces, work the horizontal-only 557 H cannot reach. The 557 MPA is shipping, with named jobs at Alcova Dam, Wyoming (2020) and the Northwest Cornell Road Tunnel in Portland, Oregon (2021-2022); only the Cornell Road job has an independent trade-press write-up.

Concrete Removal and Repair

The multi-purpose arm moves the cutting head between horizontal, vertical and overhead positions at the switch of a control, and the water jet strips damaged concrete while the reinforcement stays in place. The crew sets up the separate high-pressure pump that feeds the jet and contains the wastewater the jet produces.
