How it works on your site

The Lionel is a battery-powered, autonomous floor-marking robot that places discrete points on concrete, carpet, and tile using proprietary washable paint; the companion drilling robot autonomously drills precision holes into concrete floors using DEWALT SDS Max rotary hammer technology. Lionel covers site-level horizontal layout, wall line marking, MEP penetration marking, and ceiling grid layout from DXF/DWG files without a total station; the drilling robot covers floor-anchoring work from CAD/CSV input. A twelve-robot drilling fleet compressed data center floor prep from eight to nine weeks to seven to nine days per phase at 99.97% placement accuracy across 108,000 holes (The Robot Report). Lionel has been shipping since 2019 with production deployments across exhibition venues and commercial sites in five countries; the DEWALT drilling robot was unveiled at World of Concrete in January 2026 and has completed a ten-phase hyperscaler pilot.

Interior Layout

Ceiling Grid Layout

Lionel marks hanger points and ceiling grid references on the floor slab. The same proprietary localization and autonomous execution apply; the crew installs the ceiling grid from the marked reference points.

MEP Penetration Marking

Lionel places MEP penetration marks (electrical points, hanger points, symbols) from the same DXF/DWG file used for wall line and horizontal layout work. Fleet robots coordinate automatically, dividing the floor area without manual zone assignment.

Wall Line Marking

Lionel marks wall line positions as discrete points rather than continuous lines, placing washable paint at each reference location. Multiple robots divide the work area automatically after one-time setup, scaling throughput linearly with fleet size.

Site Layout

Site-Level Horizontal Layout

Lionel marks discrete floor points (electrical points, hanger points, rigging points, MEP symbols) from uploaded DXF/DWG files using a proprietary localization system that operates without a total station. The crew handles file preparation and task initiation; the robot executes marking autonomously and checks each mark after placement.
